A year in the life of a Bride to be…..

Club V follows the wedding plans of Natasha and Dave who are holding their wedding Breakfast and reception at Club V in September 2012.

September

So today we went to Club Vs Wedding fayre. Unfortunately Dave had to work, but my mum, Daves mum and sister and I went along. I fell in love with it even more….. It looked absolutely amazing!!! We all loved it!! Mum also bought my tiara and veil from a lady that was selling them, my veil is a vintage one (There’s my something old sorted!) It really is beautiful, I just want to try it on with my dress now….. I have to wait for the New Year for that though!! We all had a really good day today; we just kept walking around seeing different bits that were about. It really is the little finishing touches that I love about V.

When we got home, we were looking through the menus….. WOW, all the options sounded amazing, as Dave used to be a chef, he has agreed to make a few of the different options, so that we can try them, and decide what we think us and our guests would like the most! My mum was certainly very excited once we had finished at Club V, we went to the range and bought a few table decorations for the day!

My future mother in law, Trish, has bought lots more goodies too. We have decided on our centre pieces, and she has bought all of them and put them away. They are gorgeous!

My little sister has chosen her dress now too, that was a whole lot easier than I expected it too be, we were able to agree on a dress, rather than me having to bribe her which is what I expected!!!

My sisters dress arrived today, it is so adorable, I just hope it fits next year, I have ordered a size too big as it was the last one, so hopefully it should be fine!! (Fingers crossed)

We’ve arranged the cars for the wedding, Dave, his best men and his Mum and Dad are arriving in a white stretched limo, then it is going to pick my mum and bridesmaids up. I am arriving in……… NO sorry, this is a surprise until the big day, as I want it to be a surprise for Dave to go in once we are married, and on our way to our reception venue. This is an idea I had a few weeks ago, as I thought it was a really nice idea for him to have a surprise, and I just know he will love it!!

We have managed to grab a real bargain with the male wedding party suits this week….. We have bought ex hire suits, and they really were so much cheaper than what it would have been to hire. All the men were summonsed to our house, to try them…………… What a relief that they all fit. I was having horrid visions, of them all being wrong! Panic over!!! However I was very teary when I saw my Dad in his suit, he just looked amazing. I’m wondering who will cry first on the day of the wedding, me or my dad!! All happy tears though of course!!!

November / December

We went to visit the church this evening as we were invited along with all the other couples getting wed next year. This was just to introduce us to the church, and we were able to listen to the organist playing different music that was suitable for entering the church and signing of the register etc. We were also able to speak to the florists of the church. It was a really nice evening. I think we both had a real overwhelming feeling once in the church that it is really happening. It feels really real now!!!

I have had an email from the bridal shop, to say that my dress will be delivered into the shop in January, I can not wait, I just want it to be January now!!!

We are going to try and give the wedding planning a break until after Christmas now, and enjoy Christmas (My last ever as Miss Carey!)

So I hope all you fellow brides have a wonderful Christmas, and I will be back updating in the New Year, when it will only be 9 months until the big day!!!
